"At nine years old, Kariane was still a thumb sucker and mouth breather with a prominent open bite and over-bite with a lateral tongue thrust and reverse swallow.  Her orthodontist, Dr. Patricia Thrower, prescribed a bionator which was used for three years followed by 23 months of braces. The bionator and braces did wonders for her, but there was still a problem with the tongue thrust.  One side of her jaw was not responding properly.  Maxillofacial reconstruction of the upper jaw was the alternative.  A conservative treatment was attempted first in this case, myofunctional therapy.  Mrs. Jackie Dickson, a speech therapist, was consulted.

She offered no guarantees, but the results were spectacular.  Kari was diligent in practicing all of the exercises Mrs. Dickson gave her.  The problem was alleviated, and Kariane's mouth looks fantastic.

You would need to see the before and after pictures to appreciate the extent of the problem and the wonders the treatment provided.  Dr. Thrower uses Kariane's X-rays at professional meetings to share the results." -- K.L. Calta, New Jersey

ABOUT THE VIDEO: Here is what some Speech Pathologists have to say...

"I have recently purchased your video, "Oral Aerobics" and am thoroughly enjoying using it with virtually my entire caseload.   The students' (and my own) motivation to work on oral-motor skills has improved dramatically.

Are other videos containing activities for speech/language improvement available from your company?  If so, please send me a list with descriptions, prices, and ordering info ASAP." -- K. Hughes, M.S./CCC-SP, Cottonwood, Arizona

"The Oral Aerobics is very useful in patients with cerebellar injuries because the music aids the performance of the rapid alternating oral motor movements.  One stroke patient is a faithful performer who thinks that doing the exercise tape daily keeps him from feeling stiff." -- N. Sedat, M.S./CCC-SLP, Los Angeles, California

"My patients love the tape and seem to benefit from using it for home practice.  Please send another copy." -- G. Amend, CCC-SP, Fresno, California
